Getting Site Feedback from Affiliates

Affiliates often spend more time going over your site than you do, checking out landing pages, comparing it to competitors. They can be an amazing well of feedback

Back when I firsted started doing AM work we had huge issues with conversion on Mondera, we tinkered here and there in how we could make things better and got nowhere. Then one day I got an email from one of our top partners which said in a nutshell "I just bought a gift from your site, and I almost gave up before checking out because your check out is dreadful!"

A mail back asking, what was wrong with it, resulted in a 8 page document covering a wide range of issues that we'd just failed to see due to looking at the process from the inside and not getting feedback from customers (They either checked out or didn't and went away).

The feedback enabled us change a lot of areas on our site and to increase conversion, needless to say, that same partner has been in our top 5 ever since.

Affiliates spend more time on your competitors' sites than you do, often more time than you do on your own site, they spot things you miss, experience the site from an angle you don't, and can become valuable assets in terms of user experience, not just in driving those users to your site.

Why? Because they have a vested interested in making sure your site is as good as it can be, to ensure that their traffic is not wasted when it arrives on your site!

Give it a go, you'll not be dissapointed.
